Anyone else have a love/hate relationship with old tractors with obsolete parts?

This is the 3pt/relief valve control from an older B8200d that I own. Inside is a little fork that tells the valve what the lift arms are doing. Had to disassemble to fix it up. Eventually this whole tractor will be just one big weld, lol

I remember my grandpa making a bearing race or bushing on the lathe when I was very young.

That’s the next big tool I want. Well, that and setting up the 2 post lift.

Got the little fork back in and reassembled the unit. Need to wait an hour for the permatex to set up before I can torque everything down and reinstall.

That’s way cool! You don’t see them with the backhoe and blade attachments often.

I’d be really interested in trying to make it run.

So thats for a blade up front? Not a bucket?
I’m assuming a blade, but could be wrong. Usually arms for front loader attachments are longer so when you lift, they’ll clear the hood. Blades don’t need to lift that high, so a shorter radius/fulcrum is fine.

They had all kinds of interesting stuff for tractors back in the day, so I could be wrong.

Here are a few examples. The one arm one is interesting. I wonder why it didn’t catch on?!

Its sunk 3/4 up over the riggers... lol its being reclaimed. Idk how the FOOK to remove it, ive tried selling it with no luck. I had a neighbor offer to bring in a boom truck from his work and lift it out but i think he was blowin smoke...

Engine fire?

The yellow paint means it was built and sold as construction equipment, right? They often lacked farm use items like a PTO?

Interesting observation about the yellow. Quite a few tractors old and new used the rear pto shaft to turn a hydraulic pump for those backhoe attachments. The hydraulic circuit was stand alone, isolated from the front engine mounted pump.

I've always liked old tractors, but I'm not very familiar with them. I'd like to have one for around home though.

The company I work for had an older (mid 70's) Case 1070 for a while. That's about the only old one I've dealt with. Well, I have some old garden tractors too.
