Gauges are driving me nuts. Ordered some clips and will be running my own grounds to the circuit board.

Trying to figure out door locks. Had them in before, but now have to redo them. That stupid clip that holds on the L thing is a bitch. Service manual is no help.

Cleaned out all blower ducts. Ready to go in.

Sorted out thru my parts. Can't find one or two or more that I need.

Tried to clean off **** from new (to me) steering wheel. This is larger diameter that the one on the truck. Hope WD40 to the rescue.

Looks like I need a part for each job I'm trying to do. Two orders placed to LMC.

Feel like getting nowhere fast.

And by 1100 each day it's over 93F. Short window to work each day.

Said "**** it". Ordered a new electronic gauge panel. Stock gauges and panels will be up for sale soon.

New 1406 carburetor came today. Tired of messing with Qjet. Ran like **** with Qjet which was rebuilt by one of the so called good guys. At least all the adjustments are easy to make with 1406..

Both Qjet and 1405 will be up for sale soon.

Getting ready to drive to Bike Week in SD. Needed some lockable storage so mounted a saddle box lengthwise to drop out of view under the bed side. Checked the rear diff and snugged up the cover bolts.
Installed some amber headlights and dash cam.

Pics are so you guys can admire the Ferd mirrors one more time!

Thanks! This has been a long process.
Amber headlights look good to me. I’m carrying the OE’s in case they flake out(cheap).
Thinking about taking pics along the way, I’ll be going through some really beautiful country. Where would be the appropriate thread for a “road trip”? Bike Week might have some photo ops?!?!

LMAO! For sure. I had to Google “NSFW”, LOL.
Too bad there’s not a Wildlife, the Great Outdoors thread? Kill two birds with one stone.

Aside from swapping some factory wheels back on to her, ordered a new autometer fuel gauge since the one in dash doesn't work and it will eventually have all autometer gauges in it. Since we've been driving it a ton more (no pun intended) this summer, it will be nice to not have to guess how much go-go juice she has left in her! And also since we've been driving it that much more this year, I ordered all new seat belts to install as well. Got to keep my family safe! They look good, and hoping they install clean. Got a few other odds and ends to do to, but we've been having too much fun driving it!

Installed this msd 6efi CDI. Put it on the passenger fender behind the battery. Engine is definitely happy.

Trying to decide what to glaze it with. I don't have epoxy, but I'm a little hesitant on using bondo.
Would bondo glass work?
I don't have bedliner, either.
And I don't want black, I want stockish brown.
I have a can of white flex seal, but that's not brown, either. Hmm.....
Well, it has been a couple of days... have you decided what to do with it yet?

Yep, I used a polyester glazing compound like bucket suggested, then hit it with spray bedliner. It didn't come out too bad.
I'm planning on painting it brown.
