Yeah but those miniquad clips or highly sought after for some reason. The problem I have is you see just that on pic so I wonder what the other side looks like and if it's just as solid looking  If it is then I'd probably try to talk him down to $400 or something but from that one pic it looks pretty nice....

Guess so, but I see mini quad front clips around here in spirts for $250 in good shape. Sometimes, there will 2 or 3 listed then you won't see any for a month of two, same with 14b Full Floats. All timing and patience.

I can get 4 miniquad front ends for $500...

What's the deal with OK being so much cheaper??? I seen 2 MQ front clips in the last 3 weeks, both were $250. I think one guy listed his and another matched him is what happened, but apparenlty they both sold.

I wish that place was closer. Sounds like a great selection and good prices.

I'm glad it's not closer...My wife would never see me.

NO kidding. I used to get laughed at by family members and friends cuz I always reffered to the pull your own parts in So Cal when I was younger as my playground. My Aunts would tease me as the junkyard being my place for girlfriends. Little did they know, I was junkyarding by day, and laying pipe by night.

It's my stress release. I can spend hours just walking around looking at the wrecks. Looking for rare parts. Getting ideas for projects.

Absolutley DITTO !!! Not to mention tearing something apart that you aren't 100% certain about, and learning how it goes back together. Fact is, you can tear junk apart there, and you don't have to put it back together. I got many years of automotive education going to the junk yard. In So Cal, it was only 4 miles from my house, so I was at least once a week. Most of the time, 2-3 times a week and one of those probably spent half the day there.

Occasonally, they'd have a special day. You spent $50 to get in, but you were able to carry out anything you could carry in a wheelbarrow or flat cart. I'd pay my $50 then go in and get a complete engine with a trans connected. Then all the other small stuff I wanted, like more carbs, electric fuel pumps, brake drums, guages etc etc. Trust me, I was loaded up. I liked those sales. Usually left with a 350 4 bolt and a Turbo 400 or 350. Of course they never had big blocks, those were always gone already. Once I got a LSD 4.10 rear end out of a Malibu/Chevelle and sold it for $500 as soon as I got home with it. CHA CHING !!! On those days, I'd pay $50 to get in 3 times sometimes and left loaded up everytime. Loved that place !!!

I didn't find it on CL but I think I found a donor motor for my truck at this place:

http://www.partsbyconnors.com/index.html

I got a neighbor who works with these guys and he told me to give them a call. They had a good running 5.7 TBI just pulled out of an 87 K5. I am waiting for a call back on it. $450. And it's 2 miles from me. :High 5:
