How far different are they? I think Retro knows how to take your old clock out of your current cluster and put in in the new donor cluster if you wanted to keep it accurate.

So it's only off by 102,000. No Biggie. So does that mean you get take lots of **** back then since you haven't needed it yet when you roll back the odo???

Soo when are you going to get it up to 120 to make sure it works right. You know you have to.

Well still. You have to test the odo. And I have a feeling it won't do 120. (Unless someone played with the PROM chip) It should actually peter out at about 98-99mph IIRC.

Cob don't be a *****, I've had an 18wheeler up to 115mph. Go put a chip in it, tune it a bit and use the new speedo, for what it designed for.

That's what I'm saying. Don't be a ***** !!! But, to protect the trans, GM OEM tune is max mph of 99 IIRC. Or is it 105 for the GMT400's and 99 for the GMT800's? I know my GMT800's petered out and NEVER hit 100mph without tuning. When my 2005 that ran reallll good for some reason, so I took it for a ride on the turnpike and it buried the speedo, I knew it had the chip worked over and prolly why it ran reallll good.

OK I'm going to let you in on a little secret.........What I do is I start rad ling off a bunch of car part that I want to my wife, see looks at me and says, "do you have to have it to make it run" I tell her YES, and she lets me go get it. I never mention that it is all the high dollar stuff. I don't consider it lying, because I do need the part!

I usually don't have an issue with the wife telling me I can't get something. I just like completing one aspect before starting on another or I won't get a thing done

And yes gmt800 had governor set at 98. Gmt400 was around 105 or maybe 110

Hmm, my Trailblazer cuts out at 118 according to the manual. Its smooth at 100, I was running a little late for work one day.
