I,ll take sound anyday but read my thread and see where it got me. On a side note my old man has a low cr motor and a 268h cam it has some lope. Find my thread on it under dads 84c10 I got a video of it
Funny how the poor little rich kid with the back new LT1 Camaro wants to talk trash about your truck before and after you beat him, but is suddenly your best friend when he wants to make it faster.
Ohh yes. If you know what you're doing and have tools, you have all the friends in the world. But, I tolerated that ****. That's how I got all of my trans biz. Word of mouth. I only allowed a select few to come around though and they ended up being considered friends. I'd pick up trans cores and drop off completed transmissions on Friday and Saturday nights where we'd meet to race. Sold a few outright too. Once people know you build transmissions, if they want them out of their way, they'll give them to you. Of course that hasn't been the case for many years since scrap pays so well. Sad seeing all the trans cores that go to the scrapper. If the scrap yard wasn't so damn greedy, I'd buy some direct from him. He pays $8-$10 for a transmission, and I offered $20, they want $40.
