Stumbled across this forum looking for control arm bushing threads.

Been on 67-72 for a while so some of you may recoginze me from there or he other squarebody forum or somewhere else even. I use the same screen name everywhere so theres no telling.

Heres my truck. My dad bought it when I was 12 or 13. Its basically been mine since I was 16. Just got done with the flip kit on the rear and wanted to throw some springs in up front to get some rake back. Turns out all my wear components are shot so it looks like I'll be rebuilding it all. :banghead: It needs some TLC because I have been negelcting it for many years while other shiny things had my attention...

This picture is about 2 years old from right after I got my wheels.

 thanks! This is probably like the 4000th forum I'm on so I know the drill by now. :D

I went into a little more detail of my trucks history in the father/son thread I just found here if your interested. Its neat how many people on here have a similar story. If I get time to scan some of the pics I have put up I'll start a build/history thread with more details....

Ya I do, but all that was before cheap digital cameras. I've got to dig them out an get them scanned. Here is one from my high school days after I had it painted an lowered.

I loved the way it looked here but any dip or pothole in the road caused the tires to hit the fender lips an it was chewing up the side walls so I had to switch to the wheels below.

Here's a few during the short bed swap.

Welcome, nice truck, wish I would have hung on to some of my previous trucks as long as you have hung on to yours.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it just photographs nice. It needs a lot of work. I bought the parts truck so I can use the factory swb frame to start a frame off but still be able to enjoy driving the truck.

Current plans are blue an white two tone with all the trim. Porterbuilt trailing arm conversion on air out back (I have factory arms an a 72 rear axle already), plates an bags up front, I have an nv3500 to put in for now, an im going to swap on a tpi system from a Camaro an control it with L31 vortec electronics an a ls style 411 pcm. The interior is going to be black or tan an I have factory high back buckets from the parts truck. I also plan on raising the bed floor some an swapping it over to wood somehow.

I gots lots of work to do :(

Truck looks great! That looks like my front end, haha. Mine is in pieces on the floor waiting for the arms to go to the shop for new bushings. Putting it back in with a swaybar, and all new Moog parts along with new shocks.

Welcome to the forum.
"Parts Truck", If it were mine, I`d have to fix that one too, so then I`d need another parts truck and then wind up fixing that one up too and then I`d need another parts truck and wind up fix...................................................... This could go on forever. :emotions34: :happy175:
