do all trucks have that center dash speaker??

Hey guys, im getting my interior finished and im confused. its a 85 cab. silverado cab. did all cabs come with the center dash speaker?? Because i can not find the wire for the center speaker.

Can someone please post a pic of what the plug should look like for the center speaker??? If my cab has one.

this is a pic of the cab i bought! this is not my truck i just bough the cab. Maybe the pic will help you guys answer my question

That looks like a Silverado trim level, it should have the speakers in each corner. All trucks had the center opening whether there was a speaker there or not.

I have never seen one of those center speakers, not that I've seen everything, but my guess is it was intended for the early 70's am only single speaker. If you've got speakers in the corners then there shouldn't be a need for a center one.

Same here. I think the only trucks that come with a center speaker are the one that came with an AM only radio. That would be be early to Mid 80's. Past that, AM/FM IIRC got 2 speakers in the dash, and better systems got 4.

My '84 Custom Deluxe has just the one center speaker and an AM/FM radio. I think 85-up got the outer speakers no matter what though.

My Scottsdale had a center speaker. I replaced it with a speaker from LMC. Once of these days I'll redo my sound system and remove that speaker as it's virtually useless for decent sound.

I was thankin the same thang earlier. Still go with all 4 corners, but then use the center for a sub.
