Any good use in my garage for a newer dishwasher in the garage? Only thing wrong is the drawers are broken. When my wife is cleaning she is abusive to everthing.....she broke them and now wants a knew one.

If there's a good use for it, I've got utilities in the garage and don't want to miss out and think later "damn I shoulda kept that thing....it was free". Can plumb into septic or dirty.

Thanks In Advance

I used one as a parts washer for a long time a long time ago. I disabled the drain solenoid, then poured in a couple of gallons of water and water based cleaner.

Replace the detergent with Purple Power or the like? Might work well?

You know, for when your giant ultrasonic cleaner is already in use :)

You can use it to clean big stuff easy.
And you won't get in trouble for using the one in the kitchen.

It doesn't even just have to be used for automotive stuff.
Anything that needs to be cleaned that fits can be put in there.

That's exactly what I did and disabled the drain solenoid and just poured in a couple of buckets of water and some purple power. By not hooking up fill and disabling the drain solenoid,I could mix up solvent and keep using it until it was too dirty to use. I rinsed the parts outside with the hose.

Just remember to follow directions for the drain hose routing. It comes out of the bottom of the dishwasher and loops up to a level just under a countertop, and then goes down to the P-trap. It pumps the water up and over the high hump and gravity carries it down into the P-trap and the drain.

He won't need a loop or air gap unless he hooks it up to both freshwater and sewer. Those are a code requirement to prevent drain-back in case of a sewage problem, which prevents possible contamination of the freshwater supply.

Pro tip: If the dishwasher in your house fails to drain, check the air gap on your countertop first. All you have to do is pull up the air gap's decorative cover and unscrew the round part on top. Put a glass over the gap, allowing the edge to hang over the sink. Run a drain cycle, and chances are good the blockage will be cleared. When I was in appliance repair, 95% of the "no drain" calls were solved this way. I made $50 ($150 in today's money) in less than a minute on these calls.

yeh I need to rearrange the garage storage and get the ultrasonic cleaner plumbed to the hot water.

Sad part is, I'm guessing for less than $150, the drawer assembly can be fixed. Not gonna push it with the wife cuz the older I get the nagging/b|tching bothers me more lol. And it's a dang fine dishwasher!
