1980 Scottsdale C30 3 fuel doors but just 1 tank? adding a tank or 2 and in tank fuel pumps

Based on several other performance sites I read, the Edelbrock Performer RPM dual plane is a good mid-range choice for most street builds. It’s a medium rise (I think) and provides a few more HP than the cheaper base Edelbrock Performer. They also sell an Air Gap version to keep the mixture cooler. However, in most cases it is best to avoid the Performer RPM Air Gap if you have cold weather, since it provides no engine heat and is very cold blooded at warm up.

about 8 out of 12 months thats an issue for me, I assume I am going to have that issue with the torker II on my 440, if I keep it.
is it as big an issue with a sniper etc?

will this work in my application? I'm not finding much on google about 34 gal tanks, wiki says gmt400 is 1988>, would this still work in my project? shipping, duty and these tariffs have really thrown a damper on my plans




Will fit reg cab long bed gmt400 trucks, possibly other configurations? This is the larger 34gal tank with fuel pump and sender for earlier TBI models. Bought new for an overly ambitious project a few years ago and never installed. has been in dry basement since, could probably use a quick rinse.

I couldn’t tell you what a GMT 400 tank looks like so I’ll take your word for it. However I see no reasonable way that even remotely works on a squarebody as a saddle tank.
If you’re in doubt, you have one tank in the truck. Look at it and compare. The squarebody tanks are the same for L and R.
And in general, aside from the expense you’re contemplating to be able to pack more fuel, the 5mpg pulling a travel trailer seems even less enticing.
If you really want 2 tanks, get another 20gal stock saddle tank and plumb and install a whatever you need according to the fuel system you’re going to use. (Which also sounds undecided at this point)
I know newer trucks are expensive and no idea where you’re at financially, but if you’re regularly pulling a travel trailer back n forth across the province 1000mi at a time, it’s just time to find a truck in good shape from this century imo.

so, based on Ricko1966 and grit dogs suggestions to save money I have decided to go a head and hang the 3rd tank in as is condition, and buy an 87 tank and efi sender so on down the road a ways I dont have to sell or god forbid scrap a 2ish year old 1980 tank and sender and just put an extension on the 87 efi/sender pick up tube and put a sock on it and a weight to make sure it stays down, however will C10 fuel tanks and senders work in a C30?

where you from? when you need to sell that tank i have use for it , especially if the sender is on the passenger side (pointed inward if it was on passenger side) but if it wasnt that doesnt matter either Im in northern wi
