Fuel tank options

Working on building an off road crew cab and I am having mixed feelings on what to do with the fuel tank.

Currently it has dual saddle tanks but those look like they would be prime candidates to get crushed if I do decide to go rock crawling with it. I am leaning towards a blazer tank in the rear with some sort of skid plate to keep it from getting crushed.

Does anyone have a compelling argument to go with a fuel cell in the bed rather than the blazer tank.

Again this will rarely be a full rock crawler but more than likely driving in some deep snow and mud with the possibility of tackling some rock gardens if I feel crazy.

For your use I would probably go with the blazer tank with a decent skid plate. I would be hesitant on the blazer tank if you were doing more rock crawling

I think my suburban tank would be super vulnerable doing real rock crawling. It is the 40 gallon unit though.
