350 swap to 427

[78 C20]

Hey all, need a little help I got a 78 C20 with a stock 350, I am wanting to swap to a BBC 427, I know the motor mounts are slightly different and wanted to know if anyone knows of a company that fabs motor mounts for the BBC to fit directly in, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Leave the lowers in it and swap the uppers off the SB and put them on the 427 simple.

427 car motor of 427 big truck motor? and from what year / model is it coming out of.

(I recall reading somewhere, a big truck 427 needs a flared hood to squeeze into a pickup)

but do some reading and searching. .

@xm20k Ok so the SBC mounts will fit on the 427 bbc and should Line up on the frame correct, and everything else on the upper, brackets, alt, ps etc would just swap to the BBC 427. Got it, appreciate it fellas.

Maybe I'm confused with your post.....you're gonna need all the big block brackets, ........not the small block brackets

You can swap big block in place of small block. If you use all small block mounts engine and frame mounts. The engine will not be exactly the same as if it was on big block mounts,but close enough. NM you're not talking about the mounts that the O.P. asked about,your correcting someone about accessory brackets. Carry on.

Engine mounts have nothing to do with the accessory bracketry. The frame side of the small block mounts you leave in the truck, the clam shell off the block can be swapped to the BB and can then be bolted to the lower half still in the truck.

I said nothing about accessory brackets. That is a whole other issue.
