Fwiw, for the group and for good people who have insurance, NEVER divulge your insurance info to the other party or cops unless you’re certain it’s your fault and the other party also coughs up legit insurance info.
Applies double if the other party doesn’t have insurance or won’t provide it.
Has saved me from dealing with other party claims more than once. (In situations where the other party was responsible).
Worst case scenario you get a no proof of insurance ticket that gets dropped in court when you produce insurance effective on the date of the ticket.
Happened again just a few years ago. While we got hosed fixing our own vehicle on our insurance when the OP insurance should have covered, at least it keep the OP from making a claim when my insurance deemed the collision at fault, despite the overwhelming evidence of an illegal (no license or insurance), impaired, hit and run driver.
Hope this is helpful.

That’s a 2007-2017 ford expedition
More specifically, it is a 2015-2017 Expedition. Those three years are the last of the old body style (square, actually, haha) and they have the chrome strip across the middle of the tailgate.

Yesterday evening my wife is merging on the highway and then traffic stops. She almost stops but hits an SUV. She gives that driver all her info and a says it's her fault. My wife does not get any info from the other driver. I know, right?

My sister-in-law does take a picture of the SUV damage. Can someone tell me what vehicle this might be?

Not sure which year of Found On Russian Dump Exploder (or its big brother the Excavation) it is, but if she would have smacked it a little harder it would have fallen apart for sure.

Looks like an Olds Custom Cruiser from what I can see, anyone approximate the year? I wouldn't mind driving it.

Olds version,...but more common are buick roadmaster estate wagon..and chevy caprice wagons.
such could be had with a 350, last ones with a faster LT1 ... 94-96??

if in the hunt for a sedan though, last of the RWD caddilac fleetwoods is out there too with the 350 and LT1.
(vs. the dorky front drive, head gasket mess northstars in the deville of the same period).

Wish I could see that thing closer up. Looks like a Caprice wagon wearing Olds wheels and just a piece of the roof from an Olds or Buick wagon. Very odd.

Those wagons were all built on the same chassis. So the grille, trim and some of the interior is different between the Buick, Olds and Chevy versions. Wheels may be different between the three, the wheelcovers are. Those were not super common when they were new; by the early 90s minivans and SUVs were taking the place of station wagons.

I did the Google photo search and says it is a 2017 GMC Terrain XLT. Didn't know GMC made an XLT package. Ya learn sumpin' new everyday.
Same with hearing of the XLT package. Know they make the SL, SLE, SLT-1/2 and Denali packages but never heard of an XLT package. Then again don't trust everything you read and see on the interwebz too. Been deceived a few times thanks to the Googs machine lol.

Olds Custom Cruiser. Was only built 1991-92 in that body style.

Right, but look at the trim. Doesn't it look like Caprice trim to you? And a mesh Caprice grille? It also looks like the door emblems might say "Caprice Classic". And then the roof panel... there's nothing after the window. It just drops right off.

Edit
Ok yeah, after looking better, that's not Caprice trim on the sides. Looks like a Custom Cruiser that is missing roof trim pieces.
