18 or 20's

Been a couple years since the older wheel thread was posted, thought Id post my question to see if anything has changed in the last couple years.

Time to Upgrade my 15" Wheels & Tires. Want staggered that doesnt rub, deciding between 18's & 20's. Whats a good combo that is proven, have a 3/5 drop; shorter springs up front stock spindle and flip in the back. Like the Torque thrust style wheels.

Looking at the 20x10 rear and 20x8 front like shown in Pic #2 -with 275/40/20 rear and 245/45/20 front. Not sure backspace or offsets on both

Pics of your truck would help if you have simulair wheels and suggestions on tire & wheel size. backspace and offset would help.

And looking for suggestions for a place to purchase?

Basically same tire and wheel size I got. The suspension lowering has not happened yet but I got tires and wheel size with that in mind and verified they wouldn’t rub when lowered. However backspacing (@bucket) and rim width play into it.
If going 10 wide in back fatter tires are in order though. IMO.

20x8 4.25BS with 245/40/20 and 20x10 5.75BS with 305/50/20 4/6 drop

15-16 " rims or go all out and go full ghetto and get 25-30" hooptie rims

The 15's that I have on it now just dont do it justice. and dont want to big. a good compromise. The 20's look good but Im curious what the 17 or 18's look like.

IMHO 17s and 18s look goofy on these trucks 90% of the time, idk why but they do, even if the tire fills most of the well up. I'm a 15s, 20s and 22s guy for a square. I have 20x8 and 20x10.5" US Mag Roadsters on my truck with a 255/40 and 315/35 tires. I'm at about a 5/8 drop

I looked at your build thread and noticed you went from the Torque Thrusters to the Ralleys to the US Mags. Was there something with each of the previous you disliked? I am trying to find who makes these wheels, cant seem to find them.

I bought the truck with the polished Torque Thrusts and I DISPISEEEEEE polised TT's lol. I loved the rallies, but I plan to autoX my truck so the suspension upgrades and brake upgrades won't play nice with the 15s. A buddy of mine is a US Mags dealer and I just browsed their website, landed on these cuz they look like Porsche Fuch's wheels and I grew up around classic Porsches. The ones in that picture you posted are the same as mine, US Mag Roadsters. Looks like 18s, 18s always look bigger on a 67-72

I'm swapping to a set of Drag Stars 17x4.5 and a 15x10 needed a narrower wheel up front to clear the fender well headers both clear the Willwood Dynalite brakes.

15x10 shows 5.5 back space. Do you have mods to clear the inner fender? Running spacers? I like the wheels but my truck maxes out at 5"BS.

No mods or spacers they fit fine also the 20s were 5.75BS and they didn't rub either.

I got some work to do on it tomorrow, while I'm out there I'll take some pics of the fit on the backside of the tire to wheel wells and to the wheel arch.
