Gas or diesel?? We have a Perkins gas 165. It gets used every day. All it does day in and day out is move irrigation winches. Starts on the first crank every time.

My dad has a '70s diesel 135 that I'm probably gonna have to deal with in the near future.

The 135 is a Perkins AD3.162 diesel
Still got the sheet metal. Tank was painted when I replaced the clutch in 2004.

Probably gonna sell it once I shake down the 165 and am comfortable I have ironed any issues

The 135 diesel is the best tractor ever made. If you have use for a tractor hang on to it. If you don’t you will have no problem selling it

My Grandad had 2 tractors at his farm and the small one was a 165. Learned to drive it with 8. Had to put it out of gear and stand on the brake pedal to stop it .

We have a diesel and a gas MF135. There is still really no replacement for them and the 230’s and 245’s. This 20-30 horse MF are irreplaceable with anything in the current market

Hey it has a Chevy part on it(delcotron generator).

Correct. Original equipment is a generator but mine is converted to alternator. Electricity is only needed to recharge the battery after starting
