Am I just ignorant, or is the Mar-K trim actually worth that much?
Maybe?

Just some real quick looking, just this one piece of '77 trim for a SWB asking price is $255 plus shipping. So who knows. I know that it's one year only so that would drive up the price

When it was still available, I don't remember how much it cost, but I do remember it was $$$. For big buck restorations and restomods. At the time, the only other options were piecing together NOS trim ($$$), restoring used trim (also $$$), settling on the nicest used trim you could find, or buying the super low quality trim that LMC sells.

Pretty sure he is taking a loss at this price as $2600 if I recall. Shame Mar-K went out of business. Only place I could find the bed wood bolts for my 77

Justy to let agolnyone know who might be interested in the Reproduction Gold Trim, I have lowered tghe price to $2000. It is a steal.

PS - Some of you commented about me being a newbie. I am. I am new to all of this truck and offroad talk. I inherited my GMC Jimmy from my dad. He was an extreme truck guy. I am more into street racers and Japanese racers like the Nissan GTR.

Thanks guys.

Mar-K trim sets were $1200-1300 when they were in business. Assume they were OE quality and not the thin tin repops.
$2k would be worth it for someone doing a nut and bolt resto IMO. Especially since Mar K never got their price point in line with the market and went out of business as the only supposed “quality” trim producer. Right idea wrong accounting
But for the rest of us with a budget, any 70s trim with a mustard colored vinyl stripe over the black is easy and about $1600 cheaper than this.

I have to disagree. I looked at their trim a few years back for our '77 and it was around $2k if I recall correctly.

Here is Summits clearance price on just the lower. Not a blazer, and not '77 and still $2300 assuming top would be same price.. If it was less than a $1000, I would have bought it

Maybe I was looking at half the trim….if that was the case now I know definitively why they went under….
Who the hell sells half? It’s not like there’s squares running around with perfect trim needing collision repair to just the upper or lower body. Or at all….
Oh well. I though they were smokin crack at half the price.

Because just the upper half was standard on a Cheyenne.
