throttle spring help

Maybe I can find an answer here. The throttle spring on my (1979 c10 / 350) carburetor is hooked onto the radiator hose clamp, I'm sure this isn't correct, my question is am I missinga bracket or something ? I've included a picture I think I uploaded correctly. Any answers / feedback would be awesomely appreciated.

Yeas, normally a quadrajet mounted on a Chevy 350 intake manifold (or a similarly designed aftermarket manifold) uses the bracket shown in these images. Or at least it does for the 80's model years. You don't appear to have one:
