Don't throw it out. Somebody will pay more than scrap for it.

Don't hate on Q-jets. They're some of the best 4-bbls ever made.

I got a reman from national carb for about $220 +$75 core charge. Sent old one back to get my $75 back for the core. I'd say you could get like $75 for it. I see a lot of them for sale on fb for about $50-75.

Haters gonna hate.

Mostly it's people that don't understand them. And, to be fair, it's not a racing carb. There's not a lot of tuning parts for them. But for most street applications you'd be hard pressed to find a better carb. Especially from an OEM.

Other than knowing it's worth more than scrap value I couldn't tell you what they're worth. Maybe look at completed listings on eBay to see what they've actually sold for.

I try to look at completed listings because anybody can ask for anything they want. Sold items show you what people are actually willing to pay.

So on just an average stock 350 what would be a good intake for an improvement?

You probably need to use a PC. I did a quick search and found a few that sold from $36 to $46. There's not a lot out there, so I would think it would go for a little more, but it's better than scrap value.
