BE careful on using old ubolts. Once they have been torgued and stretched they could break later on if being reused but thats just my opinion when it comes to holding my axles in i try not to cut corners

I know it's not a bad reccomendation, but I've not heard of anyone having an issue with used U bolts. But, I only know of a handful that have soooo who am I to say. If they aren't exepnsive and you have a source to get them from, then sure, new is always best.

I need to find some myself. That Burb that I got the 4in front lift springs from, I also got the 3in blocks from the rear, but we torched the U bolts. I'll use those 3in block with the 4in front lift springs and should make my K10/1500 sit pretty close to level or at least closer to level since it sits higher in the rear now. Do you know of any good online source for U bolts only???

DIY4X.com sells them im sure there are others that know a few too. I added those 4 leaves to my front end and used a three inch lift ubolt when i did it. Now its about n inch higher in the front compared to the rear.

i scored today!! i helped some dude pull the diesel motor out of his 82 gmc long bed and he gave me the truck for $0! its pretty nice, 6 lug axels, 4 speed granny tranny, transfer case im not sure what it is, it doesnt look like a 203, 205 maybe? the shifter knob was gone so i couldnt tell you the pattern. i think its a k20 gmc sierra truck... this whole truck is at my brother house and i have the pink and everything! im gonna hack it up and use the cab and some of the interior trim

In 82, should be a NP205. SCORE. If it's 6 lug, just a K10.

A K10 is 6 lug axles. A K20 and K30 are 8 lug axles.

Looks to be the NP205. Not only the NP205, but the good one with bolt on yoke. Higher spline count too. With that one, if you break your rear end, or rear drive shaft, you can shift to 4wd and still drive home on the front axle and shaft where as the slip yoke type, you'd lose all your fluid if you pulled a broken driveline or driveline to a broken rear end. The slip yoke also has less splines. Don't get me wrong, any NP205 is great, but this one is better than the other is all. So you got the best of the best in that one.
