This is a multi level question lol.
Did chevy ever have a wood floor option in the 73 and up long beds?

And is there a conversion kit available to convert my steel floor (or whats left of it), to a wood floor?

From junk and trash being left in the bed for years my floor is in need of replacement. I love the look of a nicely done wood floor and would like to go that way. The only kink in my plan is my truck has a goose neck ball setup in it. Im not totaly against removing that goose neck setup though. If any body has a wood floor in a 8' bed i would love to see some photos!

Yes, it was an option in the 70's, although very uncommon considering how many steel floors were produced.

The bed floor uses specific crossmembers and wheel tubs.

Oh?! That sounds like more trouble than its worth then. Be better off to find a wood floor bed and engineer my fender extensions onto it.
