you’re missing the feed wires to the junction block

You must be registered for see images attach
The two wires on the right should go to the bulkhead (fuse box)

The left side should be connected to the starter or alternator (or both can’t remember what my stock harness looked like exactly)

And each of the two wires going to the bulkhead also have fusible links

I believe the red fusable link is the feed from the starter? Then the other red wire goes back down to the harness and into the rear of the fuse block

Would it matter if the starter wire went on the left or right of the junction block? That's how its always been but if its not correct I'll definitely change it. That's just not of the things that was disturbed on this particular project

Should have 2 wires to the fuse box bulkhead, they power two different circuits in the cab.

And at least one coming from the starter, I don’t think it matters which side of the junction block it gets connected to

My fault I thought this was a no start, not a no crank. I saw intake replaced and skimmed the rest lol

Well it is very obviously something that you did or touched, if it ran before. Because that junction is the main power feed distribution for the truck.

What's with the electrical tape on the left side of the block?

That was my next question…

Almost looks like maybe someone routed the wires through the cowl

That's a cut wire from previous owner on the left junction block. It had an old time aftermarket A/C unit at one point and i believe that's what it went to. I'll be removing that

I admit I was wrong on my statement earlier, I found an old picture of my firewall and it looked almost the same just without the extra cut wire on the left.

Disconnect the wires from the junction and separate them from each other then retest the one coming from the starter.

Good catch, BUT, it's a "or is he?

Electronically speaking, the block is just a meeting place for wires, so if it was about a single wire coming in and a single wire going out, putting them on the same terminal of the block would be the same as putting them on opposing terminals joined by a jumper.

On the other hand, IF he removed a wire, which would, normally, feed the block 12VDC, then THAT needs to be corrected.

I appreciate all the replies, guys. This is a strange one. All my grounds (battery/engine/frame) are all clean and tight. Not sure where I'm gonna go from here. Damn it.....I guess I'll look at a new engine harness

No. Don't do that.

Did it work before you touched it?

Call Sargent is right in telling you you are missing the power feed on the junction block. Should be a 10 gauge red wire to positive battery originally probably off the starter or the back of the alternator. 10r2d is missing in your pic also if you look next to junction block, the metal strip is listed as a thermal fuse.

Everything worked perfectly before.I never removed any wires other than pulling the distributor. All I did was an intake manifold swap
