I have a bone stock 86 k10 short wide bed I'm gonna be rebuilding for my son that turns 16 in a year. I wanna lift it four inches and possibly run 35/12.50/15 tires on it. Pretty much already have everything picked out but I know if I'm not very specific on wheel width and back spacing I'm gonna run into rubbing issues. What size wheel do you guys recommend?

I don't think it will matter what type of wheel you run, it will rub. I know when I was 16 with my old full size Blazer the whole world was nothing but an off road course. I climbed things I shouldn't, went thru mud I shouldn't, jumped it... you get the idea.

I could be wrong- but being careful was a lot less of a priority when I was 16 then having fun.

If it was me, I'd just put 33" tires on it.

Or put a 6" lift on, but that raises the center of gravity even more...

Yea I fully expect him to off-road the truck. Hell I did in my first truck which was an '81 c10 step side lol. Guess your right about the 33. Don't wanna lift it to much so I'm sure that is the route I'll take. Any back spacing to stay away from running 33's on a four inch lift?

The wheels I ran I believe just had the typical 4" backspacing on them.
