What rpm should a 454 4speed

So I was wondering what the idle rpm should be for my 454 4-speed ? Thanks in advance stock motor with msd ignition

Whatever feels good, around 900 or so. Maybe a little more if it has AC. Just my opinion.

Mines an '85 with HD emissions, but its the same for Manual or auto. I have a Sanden compressor with the rest of the A/C being OEM. I don't see too much of a drag on the engine when the A/C is on. The 454 doesn't have the A/C idle kicker like my 350 truck did.

I keep mine about 750 to 800. I like it a little lower to hear the cam better. Lol

Auto with no ac too. Rv cam too so really don't know what exactly. Was on there when I bought it.
