Thanks to your post I perused their site and finally pulled the trigger on this one -

May do some re-engineering on it but should meet my needs instead of spending $304 on a Traxion 3-200NXT which I was really contemplating. Plus space is limited and I can store it under my truck.
The one thing I can see that the Traxion might have over the one I bought is, the T support on the bottom.

It dawned on me, when I get around to doing the glass etch on the windows, this could make dealing with the windshield much easier. The T base would allow the unit to get around the tire.

I'll have to check it out.

Meanwhile, the thing got here quickly, was well packaged, assembled easily and all the parts were there.

Curious.

I have a wood shop and, in keeping with the "you can never have too many clamps" thing, have about 250 or more.

Many of them are spring clamps. In fact, I just bought five more, so if wifey needs some to seal a bag of birdseed, I won't whine too much.

The cheapies I bought are about 6" long and would get your hands in very good shape, if you used them much.

Anyway, curious as to if they would manage the same task?

They are a simple no spring plastic plier with a slide down lock. A pretty blunt edge, made for pinchin off radiator hoses and such.

Well, since it is time to change the oil in my truck, and I could not find my 9/16ths combo wrench, I found a replacement for a really good price on "that auction site"...

Bought a stud welder from Harbor. Have not used it yet. Has decent reviews. And I'm not using it commercially, so it should last.
You'll enjoy it, I'm sure. I have a MagnaSpot and love it.

nothing meant, but if it aint ratchet wrench....I don't use it. I've got 2 sets....and I'll buy another set at the right price just before Christmas. Should be about $60 for gear wrench or Lowes brand for standard/metric set.

Hmm well aren't you fancy, too good to take out a drain plug with a combination wrench.Hmm,maybe you need an impact, you don't even have to turn it. I hope you know I'm just kidding,an impact would strip an oil pan,but you could still use it to take them out, save 1/2 the energy.

The ratchet wrenches don't fit in a lot of situations though. A good box end wrench provides a lot more clearance. I've also busted a few GearWrenches.

Which by the way, the earlier GearWrenches were a better product with a smaller body. But they cheapened them up at some point years ago and now they are larger and I don't think they are quite as durable either.

I got tired of hammering my fingers nailing roofing on a Truck Storage Unit (TSU) I am building to store my C20 out of the weather in Alaska.
I have a similar coil nailer bought in 2017ish. It’s one of the few tools that is actually justifiable to purchase for a single job. Nailing 20 squares of comp shingle down by hand sucks.

Not a roofer, but put a new roof on my brother’s house and a shed for my dad.

They work great for flashing as well.

OHHH!!! This is funny(too me anyway) like 30 years ago,I had never pounded a shingle in my life. The roof on my house needed replaced,it wasn't leaking so I don't know why I even decided it need replaced. Anyways,I had no knowledge or expierience, so I started calling friends, hey buddy I'm going to replace my roof. I need some help, trying to round up a few friends. Billy says,do you have a coil nailer? No,what's a coil nailer? It's for putting on roofs I'm not helping if you don't have a coil nailer. Billy didn't help, still got the job done, but that's a different great story.

This. I have an OG set and a later set, the later ones are a lot bigger and are aggravating sometimes

I use ratcheting wrenches 90% of the time but there’s still many times I need a regular box end. Either holding the other side of a through bolt or a tight spot a ratchet won’t fit in
