What is this vehicle?

Yesterday evening my wife is merging on the highway and then traffic stops. She almost stops but hits an SUV. She gives that driver all her info and a says it's her fault. My wife does not get any info from the other driver. I know, right?

My sister-in-law does take a picture of the SUV damage. Can someone tell me what vehicle this might be?

If she got the plate number by phone or dash cam, you can decode the license plate number to get all the vehicle specs.

The vehicle brand that most commonly uses the "XLT" designation is Ford. XLT is a mid-level trim option found on many Ford vehicles, including trucks like the F-150, Ranger, and SUV's like the Explorer and Everest.

So either its a stolen plate, or the person recently registered that vehicle and the DMV records have not been updated yet.

So its probably just a DMV thing. But if the rig is hot with stolen plates, the driver would not have cared about the accident, and would not have wanted to show you any of his info. On the up side, he would not be turning it into the insurance co.

I believe on Napa's website, you can look a vehicle up by the plate #. So many people don't know what they drive.

etc.

Many sites that sell auto parts have a "add a vehicle" section, so that you can shop for parts that are specifically designed to work on your rig. You just need the plate number and the state, or the VIN.
