Just put a Holley 650 CFM Carb on my truck since the Quadrajet had seen better days and decided to romp on it a little bit to test it out. One of the previous owners mixed 2.5 in and 3 in tubing on it and made stainless steel glasspacks. It blew the welds and the bolts out of the header. Planned on doing my exhaust this weekend anyways (changing headers, pipe, and mufflers) she'll be fixed soon.

After I messed up the exhaust, I put the Holley on it and then redid the exhaust, did the headers pipe and mufflers. It's doing fine with the Holley now. Sadly I found out my firewall is rotten not just rusty, so she needs a new body.

A type of carb has nothing to do with busted exhaust...
