Hey guys I've posted a few times about getting a new engine for my truck. Well I finally got my truck back with a new engine in it and got the truck running and road reAdy today. My question now is I still have the old engine that needs rebuilt. Idk to what exact extent. But it could be a cracked head. How much is an engine like that worth if I tried to sell it? I'm either going to try to sell it or scrap it. But if I can get 200-300 out of the engine then I'd make more than scraping it. Just wondering you thoughts on the matter

Anywhere from free to $150. You really don't get much for scrapping it, so even if you let someone (who will use it, not scrap it) take it, think of the time and fuel you would save by not driving it to the scrap yard.

Really it depends on where your at and what block it is. People will pay extra for an 010 block even though I don't think they are worth extra. If you have a local dirt track, you can likely sell it to one of those guys for 2-$300. I just traded my 2 bolt to a guy in exchange for $400 labor.

i scrapped my old 305 and only got $30 that's beer money... not really worth it unless you have other stuff to recycle.

Well I've collected quite a bit of scrap around the house the 3 months my truck wasn't running I'd say with out the engine I'd still have 100-200 dollars of scrap so I'll be going to the scrap yard anyway but if I can get 100 bucks by selling it it would beat the 40 bucks I'd get from scrap

Is it a 2 bolt or a 4 bolt. Throw that thing on Craigslist for $150 and it will be gone by monday.
