'76 K20 frame, '89 V3500 turbo 400, 205 transfer, and Dana 60 front,'73 C20 14 bolt rear.
Using the transfer cross member out of the '89 V3500 that I modified, I added 2 inches which should have compensated for the 8 inch dually frame rail to the 6 inch frame rail of the K20.....that didn't work out as I thought. Engine is 4 degrees down in the pic.

There must be a measuring error somewhere. Just get another crossmember ('85-'86 type or '87+ type), don't modify it and mount it BELOW the frame rails. That will put everything exactly where it should be, just like any K10 or K20 truck that used that "short foot" style t-case adapter you have.
