Looks good from here….

I spent a bunch of time doing a detailed paint job on mine and it won’t ever be seen. You’re painting that stuff for yourself and no one else really.

No…. Hung the trans with the floor jack then just mounted the TC by hand.

In that picture we were figuring out how to alter the trans mount to get the motor sitting close to level and driveline angle decent. The crossmember was for a 4 speed manual so it was way too low.

Just a tip, use clean strip from Home depot, mild sulfuric acid cleans CAST IRON, do not use it on aluminum. Yeah, needs pressure washed and etc.

I'll second Eastwood Aluma Blast (prepped well with wire wheels and Eastwood Pre). I have used it on a couple projects, and am VERY happy with the results. I also sprayed Eastwood Diamond Clear on these.

The price of Eastwood stuff can sometimes be a deterrent, but I've been very happy with *most* of their stuff. It depends on what level of pretty you're going for, I guess.

Prepped with wire wheel, loads of degreaser and acetone. Paint is aluminum style rattle can wheel paint. Does not require primer and is very sturdy.
And it's cheap. 20$ for a big rattle can. I needed 1 and a half for the transmission.
