New member here. I'm in a little bit of a pickle on deciding what to do. I have a 1980 Scottsdale 3/4 ton and want to make it a manual again( originally it was a manual) clutch pedal is still there) now it has T350 with a 205 ( original T-case). Was wondering if the sm465 that I have would bolt to it, 10 spline output shaft. I do have a nv-4500 laying around with clutch, flywheel, bell housing etc.. But that is out of a 98 Chevy and it has the internal slave cylinder which I'm not to familiar with. Just seeing what my options are.

I'm new here too, but I have a little experience with this swap. Assuming you have all the bell housing, clutch , flywheel, shifter and clutch linkage stuff. You'll need a 465/205 adapter (your 4wd shifter stick bolts to the adapter and the adapter bolts to the crossmember) and coupler. The 350 trans has a fine spine (27 tooth I think) rear output shaft. The 465 has a 10 spline output. The 205 should be 10 spline input. So you'll need a coupler that's 10 spline on both ends. It goes inside the adapter
Those 465/205 adapters are real good about breaking, so inspect it closely. The 10 spline couplers wear out too, so inspect the splines.

There's a later model 465/205 adapter as well, Round pattern 205 t case and a long output 465 that does not require the coupler.

I'd put the 4500 in it though, just for the overdrive.

Seeing as you have an NV4500 kicking around, use it! If you have the transfer case adapter for it, then great! just find a 32 spline 208/241 with the 32 spline input found behind all TH400s, all later SM465s and of course NV4500s

You can use an NP205 but it has to have I believe the circular pattern to fit onto the NV4500 adapter and of course the input needs to be 32 splines. All 1tons from burbs and crew cabs and regular cabs used a TH400/205 set up. That 205 is what you need except I think they all came with slip yokes so you will have to install a slip yoke eliminator kit if that is an issue for you.

I'm pretty sure there are 2 32spline inputs for the 205. A long one for 465 and a shorter one for the th400. It's been a while since I messed with one though.

That's why I said circular 32 spline 205!
