TOWING CAPCITY

Hello everyone, I am trying to figure out my max trailer weight for towing on my 1978 Chevrolet K10, I will include a picture of my vin plate. I understand the gvwr is 6,250 but I thought the gcwr would be more then 695 pounds like it says on my vin plate, is that supposed to be 6,950 pounds meaning I could only pull a trailer that weighs 700 pounds?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! And here’s a picture of the truck to just because! Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Well it’s not letting me attach pictures but my vin plate weights say gvwr- 6200 and then towards the bottom it says CWR 695

The truck probably weighs no more than 4500lb

It depends on your truck's specific options. Engine, springs, gear ratio, etc. The '78 trailering guide states anywhere from 2000lb max trailer weight up to 5500lb max trailer weight. If you have 3.07:1 gearing, you will be on the low end of that.
