@Sad Sack I would get stopped the first day if mine were that dark lol. I wanted 50% on my windshield like my Tahoe has to cut down the glare from the Mr. bright led headlights guy but they wouldn't do it this time.
If I do ever get pulled over I'm gonna beg for mercy like an inmate facing a firing squad.@Sad Sack I would get stopped the first day if mine were that dark lol. I know ain't it great! Tint has come a long ways.I plan to tint both my windshields next year with 50% and a 5% strip. My buddy has his '04 like that and you don't even realize the windshield is fully tinted thanks to the strip
Just pull out a bag of Willy Nelsons finest with your shades on and claim glaucoma! If the cop asks for the doctors note tell him you can’t see well enough to find it….why do you think my windshields tinted dumbass? If I do ever get pulled over I'm gonna beg for mercy like an inmate facing a firing squad.

Works every time!
This excites me to try ceramic tint. Haven’t tinted a vehicle in over 14 years because the land of 322days of rain here hasn’t motivated me to spend the money for the 43 days that the UV rays kills the mildew smell in the carpet finally!15% Ceramic in my truck and car, all windows and fronts with sun visor stripe. When inside, no issues with night driving. It's like the windows are hardly tinted. If you look at my pics you'd think it would affect the ability to see out at night but absolutely no issues even with stock headlights.
Unfortunately, I did pay to have it all done, almost a grand for both vehicles. I didn't want to deal with it due to a previous experience, tinting can be very aggravating, but glad I spent the money to let those who are well versed in tinting handle the job, no regrets. Trouble is with the older vehicles some tint shops don't have the ability to print out pre-cut sheets and they have to wing-it. The shop I employed had a "great time" with the truck due to issues like forty years of crud embedded around the window seals / gaskets, dust falling from raggedy headliner (later fixed) but when I rolled in with my KIA I got a smile, a "whew, a newer vehicle, thank you" and a good price. This excites me to try ceramic tint. I drove a (much younger) buddy’s truck who was up from NM and he had idk what but pretty dark on the windshield. It was during the 43 days of sun and it was great heading to the lake at 8 am with the sun in our eyes. On the way home at 10pm headlights looked like a lunar eclipse thru a pinhole projector and thank god for the lights because the rest was like driving with your eyes squinted almost shut!
I have 86 C10 - debating on tinting windows as it is hot here in Florida. Want to keep it as original as possible. What do you guys think? Any pics of this model with dark tint? Other option may be to just do clear UV tint.

I like the tint on the back window but since I use my side mirrors when I reverse i find it hard to see when I back up in the dark with the tint on the side mirrors. I have to roll the windows down to see where I'm backing up at night.I have 86 C10 - debating on tinting windows as it is hot here in Florida. Want to keep it as original as possible. Yes, get the legal shade, light tint. Just make sure it is this modern-day ceramic tint. It blocks out so much more heat and 99% of that interior killing UV light!!
