No idea why because I haven't had time to check yet, but my torque converter decided to lock this morning. Truck holds speed so much better!

I have never driven with it locked, it is nice!

That's odd, when locked it should be turning less rpm which would make it harder to hold speed.

No tq converter slipping is the difference, so more power applied is why it holds its speed better.

Figured it out, I think my brake switch is flaky. It wasn't working well tonight, mess with pedal or switch and it would start to work. Verified when I got home with meter. Easy enough fix I hope, should be able to just turn switch in out would a new switch be better?

took brake switch apart today, the brass on the end of the plunger is very worn. going to order a new switch.

New brake switch and convertor works 100% correctly now. Hoping my be cruise release switch fixes my cruise too, still waiting for that to arrive however
