if you are getting wider than 16" diameter, you can also look into modern bigger better brakes. ...like for a 2009 era suburban.
(so less praying and swearing, when "trying" to stop)

Because they are open-ended? What makes them weird?

The open ended lugs on the 5-lug truck might be a track requirement.
Just seems odd on the finished with center caps on the 8 lug.
But look at the apparent thickness of the rim flange on the 5 lugger and the apparent depth of the lugs. Looks normal?
Maybe deceiving pics and a coincidence.

Yeah, with the finished centercaps I agree that closed lugs would look better. But if I had just got new wheels and was all giddy about mounting them up, I'd reuse whatever lugs I already had on there. Maybe the same thing happened here.

The 5-lug wheel definitely has a very thick center rim surface.

I’m running the 20” US Mag Scottsdales and I love them. Staggered 9x20 front and 10.5x 20 rear and I have clearance with a 315/35/20 rear and a 245/40/20 in the front.
Wanted us mag but no dice on 8 lug

Got the long lug nuts on much better. Center caps are being made with the bow tie:

Should look like this when we are done:

The guy at the hot rod shop down the road had a set of the new Vision/summit brand rallies in 15x10 for the back of his square for drag radials.

Not the same as 20” wheels, but man, in person they looked so much better. That and 15-20 lbs lighter than the same tire on a stock 15x8 steel rally.
Idk why but they are strangely appealing to me. They are visually vexing lol

p-Tina is looking pretty sweet. I've tried looking around different threads to figure out where you ended up with lowering hardware- could you tell us the current parts list?
And current tire sizes? Is the big block and 4l80 all sorted out now?

Wester chassis front drop coils, western chassis front drop spindles. Rear lowering shackles plus a helper spring removed. 4l80 works great
