The pic posted by @Radiohead of the modified Suburban looks really good.

Avalanche's are one of the top three most butt ugly things ever made because they look like a malignant Subaru Brat...
I'd agree but they are cool as hell as far as function. I've had 2. The reason I bought them is, we wanted a Suburban for the seating and able to carry camping gear. Well, the Avalanche did all that and about $8 grand cheaper than a like optioned Burb, AND the function of the back seat folding down and the bed became part of the back seat. So kept the bed cover on and kids could sleep back there. Also able to take the back window out and remove the bed coverr for a completely opened up back wall. The kids enjoyed sitting in the bed part, no seat belts on of course. Just told them if we see the po po get up here closer to the front seats. It was a cool rig for that part, but yeah it was fugly. So I did it for function and cheap. The last one I bought in 2003 was MSRP 40,000 full loaded, everything but sunroof and I got it for $28,000. I would have had to pay closer to $42,000 for a like Burb cuz the Burbs didn't have all the disounts I got on the Avy. I got a county tornado rebate that year for the big tornado we had, that was $1000 rebate, and I also got a $500 rebate cuz I had a competior model, Ford or Dodge vehicle titles in my name which was my E450 Box Van for my bidness, and then I used to work for the Sales manager at another stealership, so as soon as he seen me, and my salesman was a guy I also worked with at the same place and he followed the sales manager the new place. So he knew he'd have to show me the invoice and he knew I knew what it meant. hahaha, I said so what kyna deal you gonna gimme? He said, you know the deal, I'll sell it to you for invoiice. I said, F that bro, there's a $4000 holdback on this bish, you can do better than that. HE laughed and told the salesman, just write this phuker up $3000 below invoice and apply apply all the rebates otherwise he'll be here all night wearing us out, so write him up and get him to finance and grab you another one, since you're only going to make a mini on this one. Thank You Sir !!! Pleasure doing bidness, you know I'll be back for the next one, he said I hope to hell Not Phuker, nice seeing you again but get the phuk outta here unless you want a job selling new cars. NOPE, my bidness running just fine sir and making a lot more money. Pffft, OK done with that rabbit hole. But yep, They Ugly. I agree.

Tryna look like an Avalanche. For those who don't know. Avalanche is built on a Suburban Chassis. Pretty much is a Suburban with exception of the behind the rear seat. Same wheelbase springs and all.
I was "gifted" the '05 with 230K miles & that much filth inside too. The gifter said I must use the engine for a swap OR cut the truck up...so making me a farm ute was the obvious choice! I closed in the rear with a Savana hood, leftover panels used from the removed roof & "covid barrier" plexi from a local parts house. The windshield leaks as bad as my repair so all is good!
