Th350 Only allows Park and Reverse

Good morning everyone!

I have been having this issue with my truck, I backed off the driveway and could not put it in drive. I had to reverse all across town and back up home .
I checked the linkage from the column and it works fine, the issue is inside the transmission. After taking off the tranny oil pan and playing with the gear lever on the transmission I noticed two spots that prevent movement from reverse to neutral, drive and such.

I have some related pictures, sorry for the green and pink squares I don't know what happened with that.

Does anyone here know the issue? or have a solution?

Remove the detent roller and work the manual valve by hand - DO THIS ONLY AFTER YOUR WHEELS ARE CHOCKED OR ALL OFF THE GROUND ON STANDS OR A LIFT!

This will tell you if there's a problem with the manual valve, rooster comb and/or parking rod assembly. If everything moves freely, reinstall the detent roller and torque the bolt to 15 ft lbs and double check the external transmission shift linkage to the column.

I had this happen to 2 - th350s! All reverse n no forward.
