Taking out heater core

Is removing the heater core difficult, found out that I have a leak under my dash and pretty sure it's the heater core or the eVap core. Doesn't smell like antifreeze but I've noticed my level of coolant is down to just below the heater core inlet/outlet hoses that feed into the radiator.

Its not very difficult. You have to disconnect a couple of cables and vacuum lines on top of the heater box and disconnect a couple of vent tubes. The worst part is getting the mounting bolts that go through the firewall, some of them are kinda tricky to get to, but its not too bad.

The bolts that are going to give you trouble are hidden behind the inner fender. It's my opinion that dropping the inner fender down or taking it out makes the job a lot easier. Its really only a hand full of bolts.

The biggest problem I had was finding all the screws that hold the heater box together. There were a few hidden under foam seals.
