Will let this run for while, looking for another viable grill so I don't have to alter the stock one.

Grille only, but I think your idea of getting a spare and messing with that one so you can keep your stock one unmolested. Stock still looks good though, I'd vote +1 on grill only, 0 on stock, and -1 on blackout.

Was thinking that maybe adding chrome headlight bezels would help bring the grill and headlight area come in line with the chrome bumper similar to this pic....thoughts?

Am thinking of blacking out the grill - keep in mind, it's just a thought. I like the stock look too.
So, I'm just feeling the waters so-to-speak.

I don't mind #3 if you can find a grille to mess with, I wouldn't do it to a good grille. But then again, I'm not a huge fan of the '85-88 grille anyway, that's why I did something semi-custom with mine
