What??

Are you asking what the symptoms are of an ignition module failing? Generally, the engine just dies and will not start. No spark at all. Sometimes you might see erratic spark or timing jumping around due to a failed module.

When you change the module, make sure you use all of the heat transfer paste between the metal back of the module and the body of the distributor or it will overheat. Also make sure the engine and wiring has all ground wires clean and connected. Poor ground connection will cause more heat in the module and cause it to fail faster.

Sometimes they fail completely, sometimes they fail only when they get hot.
