Hey guys, looking for suggestions on whether to keep the stock leaf springs or to switch over to fox shocks with coil overs?

I know it’s a big price difference, but I want to do this one time and do it right. My goal is to make this thing into a Highway queen that is capable for off-road Ing on the beach and oil rig trails.

Right now she sits with a 6 inch lift, 2 inch body lift, and 35 inch tires and for the most evasive method I was thinking about going with fox shocks with reservoirs and maybe some stiffer leaf springs so she rides better on the highway? As of right now it’s a little bit slushy in returns and tends to bounce. That’s why I think I need new shocks anyway.

If I go with the coil over shocks conversion, it’s my understanding I can illuminate the leaf springs and go with the standard shock housing with coil overs to alleviate any heavy welding. Am I accurate in assuming this? Please let me know everyone’s thoughts. Again my goal here is to Basically have a new SUV style ride without upgrading to airbags and still have it be capable off-road.

Hard to beat leaf springs. They do everything very well. The Raptors/ trx still use leafs.

If you switch to coilovers, you need to build a 3 or 4 link suspension, panhards, etc. You are going to spend a good $5k to do it right.
