Find a long, old flat head screwdriver and bend the last 1.5” to about 45°. Insert the bent screwdriver through the outboard end of the spindle, catch the inner lip of the bearing race and drive it out.

Get as much crap out of the way as you can old rollers etc. Take a mig welder, weld a bead all the way around the inside of the race. When it cools it will shrink causing the race to contract, and practically fall out. I used to do that 25 years ago changing pressed in FWD bearings on the car, before that I used to remove valve seats that way.

This method also works great on stubborn axle bearings like on the 12 bolt of my K5.

What is your welding technique? Bunch of spot welds skipping around? One small continuous bead?

Continuous bead when the bead cools it will contract that will pull the race towards center. You could even weld a very short piece of strap across the opening on the race, and drive it out with a pipe from the other side. We use to take valve seats out that way too, weld an old valve to the seat and hit the stem with a hammer.

I actually don't recall what brand it is, and I'm not home to go look. It's probably Snap-on, Mac, Lisle or something along those lines that offers specialty tools.

I’m pretty sure Lisle was the original maker but Snap On and Mac sold them as well. They were available forever at parts stores under the Lisle brand (mid 80’s+), I have a Blue Point version because a Snap On guy I bought from had it and nobody knew what it was for. lol He sold it to me cheap to get rid of it.

I’m pretty sure everyone has discontinued them but they pop up on eBay occasionally. I’m probably going to grab another one if I ever run across one.

This tool is why I suggested bending a screwdriver, same principle.

This is what I used on the 10 bolt front I'm going through, blind hole puller. They are expanding mandrels. Got it for doing transmission bushings and has become quite the handy kit to have around.

Another solid gold old school tip brought to you by @Ricko1966 !
I was gonna say try driving it out with a cold chisel from the from the other side like @nvrenuf said.
