I'm looking to replace the steering dampener on my 1980 GMC k3500, it's basically stock from the factory, I'm running a 454 in it, what dampener do you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance!

It's just a stock height truck with normal tires, but I replaced all the tie rod ends and figured while I'm at it I should replace that shock

Are you having trouble with bump steer? Have you removed it and checked for resistance in both directions? If it is still hard to pull out, and hard to compress, and you don't have any problems with bump steer, I would just clean it up and keep using it. Mine is the original 1978 that came on the truck
