Steering box messed up

My 73 has a 4 inch lift with 33s the guy i bought it from did a crappy welding job on the box and after a couple weeks it broke. Its a little ripped so i dont know if i need to cut the frame and put a whole new peace on or if i can just bolt a peace of of metal on the back side. any one eles have this problem???:mad:

You need to v-notch the cracks and weld the frame back together, then weld on a "frame repair patch" after that. A bolt-in steering box brace would be a good idea too, once you have the frame and steering box all peachy again.
