Just wondering if anyone has swapped out their front springs without the use of a spring compressor. Thanks!

You dont need a spring compressor. You can use a floor jack, and the weight of the truck. You just need nerves of steel.

Yep only need the weight of the truck and a floor jack. Nerves of steel are definitely a bonus. Common sense is key as well as being very safe. Don't allow any children or animals enter within 50 feet or more of the work area until everything is completely bolted back up, torqued to spec and cotter pins are installed.

Get a length of chain that allows free movement of the control arm. Thread the chain thru the spring and control arm and bolt the chain ends together. This will keep the spring somewhat contained if things go sideways.
