got new plug wires from oreilly auto parts - the cheap generic omnispark ones. hey, they were like half the price of acdelco wires on amazon/rockauto :)

anyway, they are not universal fit - they are specifically sized for the truck. anyway, i'll post a pic next time i go outside of how it currently is but they are run over valve covers which seems like a bad idea since i'm sure that gets hot, and of course it looks ugly :) what is the correct way to run them that looks nicer and is better for the wires? i googled chevy 350 spark plug wire routing but there is a lot of people that have headers, tpi, etc so it's all different... thanks!

I ran mine similar to factory using moroso wire separator/holders. Factory ones were broken from age, but generally they are similar. Had to cut and modify the aftermarket ones a bit to fit correctly. Main difference in my setup is I did custom cut to length wires for a better fit.

ok, this is how they are currently run/routed (and yes my valve covers are super leaky lol)... i like the way yours are further away from the valve covers and not going all over the place. do you think i would be able to do that with my omnispark plug wires?

Same should work using factory length wires. Routing is basically the same

On a 1977 GMC my father in law and I are building for him I Used Taylor SpiroPro universal wires and some Spectre separators-normally Indint care for aftermarket chromed crap but, in this case at least I can route the plug wires in a purposeful manner.
