Smoke smell from rear AC

Had my 90's AC recharged and iis blowing nice and cold from and rear execrablbut the rear ouputs out a smoky smell. Almost like an electing fire. Are the blowers susceptible to failures or fires. Not using it for obvious reasons.

The blower motor failing, resistor or it is rubbing. Take the plaatic cover off and go on a smell test.
