Got some 3 point belts in my 73 to replace the lap belts. The kit came with bolts that are too small (9/16). I got some 1/2" but they don't fit either. Anyone know the size of the bolts I need? Could it be metric?

Thanks in advance.

I have some bolts from 91 that I could check, but for 1973 they should be standard.

I'm not sure what you mean by "upper" seat belt.

My electronic information only goes back to 1985, but in '85 the lap bolt is an M12 (no idea if it would be in '73)

and the upper shoulder belt attachment in the B pillar is 1/2-13.

Wow thanks for that. It turns out that it was M12. I had a 1/2 and it was barely too small. M12 was just right. Weird.

I'm surprised, too. '73 seems awfully early to have a metric bolt.

As an industry, we are inching our way towards the metric system.

But we are still a mile away.
