I have a 71 chevy c10 with a great patina. I want to put a 67 front clip on it and paint it bright cherry red. but it has a great look to it I hate to ruin it.

my plans are to eventually put either a 4.8 or 5.3 with a 4l60 in it and lower it maybe air ride some day. and I like the 17'' cragar ss wheels.

the patina will only look good for a few more years before it gets to the point of fix it or let the truck go to hell.

and there is no way in hell I will clear coat rust that's just f--king stupid.

should I sport the patina for a while or just put the 67 clip on it and paint it.

I build all my cars and trucks in my head over and over till I decide how I want to build them. but this truck has stumped me I hate to ruin the look. I like it but its not really what I want.

I tried to sell it on ebay and local but no one wanted to pay what I think its worth every body wants it for nothing.

I have the idea to do the 5.3/4l60 and drop it fix the rockers and cab corners then try to sell it again.

the truck I want is the red 67 am I crazy or what should I just build it and get it over with. I have a nice 67 front clip already

Personally I like it just as it is, but a lot of that is likely because we don't have trucks like that around here. I think it would be a mistake to do a lot of custom work to it if you are just going to sell it, you would have to wait for just the right buyer for a payoff.

From what I remember when you had it for sale, there were folks that complained about the rocker rust and no cheap price. Why not just fix the rockers and cab corners, then you would only have to paint below the trim?

I had it for sale for 4 grand firm

its a clean unmolested truck that runs and drives great and its the Cheyenne
and its a 71 so factory 5 lug discs up front

I feel its worth 4 grand and would not take any less

worse trucks were selling for more just cause they had nicer wheels

the only problems my truck has is the rockers and cab corners

if I put the 67 clip on it I am keeping it and turning it into the truck I want

if I leave the patina alone i will do the engine swap and sell it. but i am sick of fucktards not seeing the value of a unmolested truck so **** it never mind i will just build it into what i want and keep it.

everybody wants a hacked up pile of **** with a greasy ass 6 cylinder that has nice wheels and are willing to pay triple what its worth

Ive always loved the baby blue/white two-tone trucks 67-72. And my favorite front clips are 70-72.

I vote fix the rust and repaint it factory :) .

ORRRRR, you could paint it black and put mags on it.

I think 4 grand is a more than fair price. Try puttin it on eBay, you could reach out to a lot more potential buyers.

I personally like it original a lot!!! If it had rust issues and needed restored then it'd be different but being as solid as it is I say keep it

Keep the patina look while you do the engine swap. After that is finished, make the body nice. Do the mechanicals first, pretty stuff last. Unless your 67 clip is the same color as the truck currently, when you put it on, your patina will be gone.

Don't get me wrong, your price is very fair. But it seems like a lot of interested people just cannot see past the rusted rockers. If the rockers ain't rusty no mo, they might see the value in the truck and be willing to spend the money instead of wanting you to give it away.
