Guys I know I had seen em before, but now I can't find them.

I'm looking for pics of guys who have shaved/smoothed the inner fender(NOT THE WHEEL WELL) but the backside of the fender, the part with the square holes in them, hood hinges and washer jug bolts to it.

I know I had seen one done with polished alum. or something, and one were they had welded in panels flush to the outer sections to make it smooth and one piece.

Anybody got pics of it or know the pics I'm talking about with a link? I found a couple on 67-72chevytrucks.com but not the exact 2 I was talking about or looking for, plus a guy on 73-87chevytrucks.com is looking for them, looking to do it to his truck.

I;ve never seen it done, but, it is a mod I had been considering. When taking my truck a part,I found a screw driver that had been lost inside the fender for YEARS.

Didn't DV8CUSTOMS do this on his build thread on here? He's got a build thread here and on 73-87chevytrucks and I think he did this very thing. Definitely does clean up the engine bay on a custom ride.

he has them smooth, but his wheel tub is way up in there due to the drop. I was looking for ones without raised inner fenders, I know the 2 I'm thinking of were stock inner fender or at least height, not modified, and you can see the backside fender work clearly. The whole top of the outside fender is visible that way and shows all the holes, I just wished I could figure out where the crap I seen it at.

the front is done the way I'm talking about, but the rest is covered by his wheel tub.

I removed all the crap from my inner fenders during the engine swap and plan on filling the holes with stainless socket head screws. I wonder if the chrome ones that LMC is selling come with all the holes in them?

umm if you mean the chrome INNER fenders, that aint what I'm talking about. The inner fenders or wheel tubs, if you take them out, the part I'm talking about is still there, on the truck it's the back of the outer main fender, has big square holes in it, I mean 3 inch by 3 inch or so holes, not no small ones. The hood hinges bolt to that part, the washer jug bolts to it, come on I know you guys know I'm talking about the backside of the fender and not the inner fender or wheel well/tubs.

Maybe something similar to the first set of inner fenders I made?? I had to change them when I decided to do the body drop. These where skinned in front and back..
