I am replacing the master cylinder on my 1975 GMC pickup, and when I pulled off the master cylinder I found a round rubber "cup" seal between the master cylinder and the power brake booster.

The rubber seal is partially broken and the rest of the rubber is in bad shape, so I want to replace it. I think its mainly a dust seal, so I don't think it affects the brakes. However, I can't find it in any online parts lookup (Rockauto, etc.).

Any suggestions on where to find this cup seal?

Thanks,

Bruce

I think you have to get a new booster to get that rubber. Or yank a good used seal from a donor truck.

I think he's right Bruce. That seal was never even available as an individual item. Only as part of a rebuild kit.

I did get some part numbers for the booster/MC rebuild kits from the pages below (difficult without knowing whether Delco/Moraine and the JB class). But it wouldn't have mattered even if I did know - those kits were NLA years ago. GMPartsWiki also confirms that the kit was discontinued and never superseded.

Sorry
