Hello and thanks for allowing me to grace all of your presence!! New to this forum. From the SE Iowa area. I currently own a 78 3+3 SRW 4x4 4spd 454. Really LOVE the truck but cancer has ate her up!! And I snapped off the front output shaft on transfer case couple months ago. She has only been driven around 3x in the last year+. Her plates are in storage now so "legal" street driving is not an option. Trying to locate a better cab right now. Got leads on 2 locally. Someone (i think) swapped out the D60 for a D44. Darn rock crawlers making the 60 such an expensive replacement. Like to find a D60 dually front for her though. Not planning on a hardcore trailer queen restro on her but make her "solid as a rock" again. No fancy paint or interior. A truck that I can take hunting, pull a nice heavy trailer with, plow snow or even run over a little Jeep while its stuck in a mud puddle. If I want run down a mud road or through the creek bed. Run over or get stuck up on a stump. I will find out the hard way who will win that one. HAHAHA. Already know I want to go from the bench seats to full buckets, front and rear. Custom bumpers will be a have to for me.
